Octopus Management
Octopus is an independent Villa and Yacht charter company. It was founded and is operated by Claire Tabor.
Her idea was to create something a little different from the usual yacht charter and villa rental.
She wanted to incorporate a Villa and Yacht combination for her guests to have the best of both world's - time spent on land and time spent at sea.
She wanted her guests to be able to have the choice of how much time they spent in each, along with being able to choose their itinery.
Having worked on a variety of yachts all over the world and having listened to her guests, friends and family, she realised that there was a need for this type of vacation.
Claire is originally from England but has lived and worked all over the world including Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Europe.
Claire discovered her love for the sea whilst working on Cruise Liners. She found a passion for scuba diving whilst in Mexico and decided that a life on or in the sea was for her.
She became a P.A.D.I Divemaster, also a RYA Winsurfing, Dingy Sailing and Kayak Instructor and worked around the world for a few years in beach resorts and on motor and sailing yachts before becoming a Yachtmaster Offshore (Commercially Endorsed) MCA/RYA Master of Yachts Offshore 200gt and Cruising Instructor.
She loves to share her knowledge and teach people to sail, windsurf or to dive and for them to discover a whole new world in the ocean and hope that they will fall in love with the sea and with Bequia, just like she has.
